The San Francisco Estuary Institute is an environmental conservation organization working in the field of environmental and ecological services. As its name indicates, its focus is linked to the San Francisco Estuary, the network of bays, rivers and wetlands where fresh water from inland meets the Pacific Ocean. The institute is based in Richmond, California, on the shores of San Francisco Bay. It is a point of contact for anyone with an interest in the conservation of the estuary and its surrounding environment, including local communities and organizations across the Bay Area. More information about its activities is available on its website.
