Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets out the rules for websites and content submitted to Link Directory (the "Directory"). It forms part of our Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meaning given in the Terms of Service.
1. Prohibited websites and content
You may not submit, and we will not list, any website or content that:
- is illegal, or promotes, facilitates or provides instructions for illegal activity, in the country where it is offered or where we operate;
- contains, links to or promotes child sexual abuse material or any sexual content involving minors - such Submissions are reported to the relevant authorities;
- distributes malware, viruses, spyware or other harmful code, or is used for phishing, fraud, scams, identity theft or unauthorized collection of personal data;
- infringes copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property rights, including sites that distribute pirated software, media or counterfeit goods;
- promotes violence, terrorism, hatred or discrimination against people based on race, ethnicity, religion, disability, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or other protected characteristics, or harasses, threatens or defames any person;
- sells or promotes illegal drugs, controlled substances without the required authorization, weapons or explosives in breach of applicable law, or gambling services where they are not lawful;
- is sexually explicit or adult-oriented, unless it is lawful and clearly marked with "Adult Site" in its description as required by the submission rules; or
- impersonates any person or organization, or misrepresents its ownership, purpose or affiliation.
2. Prohibited submission practices
You may not:
- submit link farms, doorway or gateway pages, parked or placeholder domains, sites that are under construction, or pages whose main purpose is to redirect visitors elsewhere;
- submit spam, including repeated or duplicate Submissions of the same website, keyword-stuffed titles or descriptions, or text written in ALL CAPS;
- use automated tools, scripts or bots to submit websites or to access the submission form;
- provide false contact details or an e-mail address you do not control;
- attempt to interfere with the Directory's security, operation or payment system, including by probing, scanning or testing its vulnerability; or
- change a listed website after acceptance so that it no longer matches its description or breaches this AUP.
3. Accuracy of listings
Titles and descriptions must accurately describe the submitted website, be written in plain language and be suitable for the chosen category. We may edit any Submission to meet our editorial standards.
4. Enforcement
We decide at our sole discretion whether a website or practice breaches this AUP. We may reject a Submission, edit, suspend or remove a listing, refuse future Submissions from you, and report unlawful content to the appropriate authorities, without notice. Fees paid for a Submission or listing removed under this AUP are not refundable, as set out in section 7 of the Terms of Service.
5. Reporting a listing and removal requests
If you believe a listed website breaches this AUP or infringes your rights, please tell us through our contact page, including the address of the listing and the reason for your report.
If you own a listed website and want its listing removed or changed, send the request through the same contact page, give the address of the listing, and be ready to confirm your ownership - for example by writing from an e-mail address on the website's domain. Listings in the Directory are submitted by third parties, and we are not responsible for them; requests are handled as set out in section 11 of our Terms of Service. We do not respond to anonymous, unverifiable, threatening or bulk demands, and we never charge a fee to remove a listing.
6. Changes
We may update this AUP by publishing a new version on this page. The version in force at the time of a Submission applies to it, and listed websites must continue to meet the current version.
