| Title: | Heidel Hollow Farm |
| Description: | Heidel Hollow Farm is a family-owned and operated farm that grows and packages hay for horses, livestock and exotic animals, and says it has done so for more than 50 years. Hay is baled in the field into large 3' x 4' x 8' bales, then double compressed with a Steffen system into 35 lb domestic bales and 75 lb export bales. The farm also sells barley straw as a natural pond treatment to reduce algae, including a kit with a 20 lb bale, anchoring strings and instructions. The farm is in Slatington, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania, and has a store that visitors can stop by. It serves animal owners and the wider hay market, and has exported hay overseas through East Coast ports since 1974. |
