Catalan is a Romance language spoken in Catalonia, the Valencian Community, the Balearic Islands, Andorra, where it is the sole official language, and parts of southern France and Sardinia. Its web presence is unusually rich for a regional language, with daily newspapers, public broadcasters, universities and municipal councils publishing in it. Expect cooking blogs, football club pages and bookshops alongside regional government portals.
